Method for increasing yield of cyclodextrin

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prepare efficiently cyclodextrin, by reacting a gelatinized or liquefied starch solution with two or more enzymes, capable of producing the cyclodextrin, and produced from microorganisms of different origins. CONSTITUTION:In reacting a gelatinized or liquefied starch solution with an enzyme capable of producing cyclodextrin by the conventional method to prepare cyclodextrin, two or more microorganisms obtained from different origins, e.g. an enzyme capable of producing mainly alpha-cyclodextrin and an enzyme capable of producing mainly beta-cyclodextrin, are used together preferably prepared in the form of immobilized enzymes.
