Microstrip band stop filter

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a band stop filter, by providing capacitors of lumped parameter connected to resonators on a main line, in a microstrip line provided with the resonators coupled to the main line. CONSTITUTION:The capacitors of lumped parameter 6a-6c are provided on the main line 1 and connected to the resonators 2a-2c by conductor wires 7a-7c. One end of the resonators 2a-2c is connected to a ground conductor 10 with a conductor ribbon 9. The capacitors of lumped parameter 6a-6c are constituted by adhering a conductor film on the upper and lower side of a dielectric. Since the coupling between the main line 1 and the resonators 2a-2c is changed by a static capacitance of the capacitors of lumped parameter 6a-6c, a desired coupling is given between the main line 1 and the resonators 2a-2c and the band stop characteristics are obtained by selecting suitably the thickness of the dielectric and the area of the conductor film constituting the capacitors.
