Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To continuously enhance the concn. of sludge, by a method wherein a raw liquid is continuously filtered by vacuum sucking to discharge the filtrate to the outside while sludge after concentration is forcibly moved to a discharge direction. CONSTITUTION:A raw liquid 32 is introduced into a concn. chamber 21 from a raw liquid inlet 22 through an intake port 24 and communication orifices 18 while a vacuum source 12 brings a filtering acting surface, that is, the inside of filter cloth to a vacuum state through a filtrate passage 11. In this case, because the raw liquid 32 is forcibly separated from the filtrate in the concn. chamber 21, it is gradually concentrated. In addition, because a scraper 3 scrapes off the solid component adhered to the surface of the filter cloth from a center position to a successively separated direction in a vortex configuration, the solid component is successively sent out to an outward direction and extruded to the outside before long from a discharge port 31. In this case, the raw liquid 32 is separated into the filtrate and the solid component in the concn. chamber 21 by vacuum filtering action and the concn. thereof is gradually enhanced.
