Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to rapidly recover magnetic ink after printing is finished, by immersing magnetic poles opposed through a slit for arranging a large number of needles in the magnetic ink within a tank while arranging a magnet opposed to the lower ends of the magnetic poles in the tank. CONSTITUTION:When a change-over switch 36 is set to (b) when printing is finished, a magnetic ink attracting coil 16 is excited corresponding to the discharge current of a condenser 39 and the intensity of the magnetic field between magnetic poles 19 which have formed a magnetic ink layer through a slit 18 is gradually lowered. In addition, the electromagnet 26 opposed to the lower ends of the magnetic poles 19 is excited only for the time set by a timer by a battery 37 and, thereafter, by the discharge current from a condenser 40 and force for pushing up the magnetic ink 24 is gradually reduced to quietly and rapidly recover the magnetic ink in an ink tank 20 under its own wt. without diffusing the same. Therefore, the magnetic ink can be prevented from solidification caused by remaining and staying between the magnetic poles.
