Sheet reversing device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reverse a sheet without paper jam by providing a spring member which presses the sheet to one direction at a branch point of the sheet carrying path, in a switch back type sheet reversing apparatus which is provided for a copying machine or the like. CONSTITUTION:A sheet reversing mechanism is provided for introducing the sheet reversely from the first station A of a copying machine or the like to the second station B of a sorter or a reverse side copying mechanism. The reversing mechanism is composed of a reverse shoot part 1, the first sheet carrying path 2 which introduces the sheet from the station A to the reverse shoot part 1, and the second sheet carrying path 4 which introduces the sheet reversely moved by reversing means 3 to the station B side. At this time, a sheet sorting guide plate 15 is provided at Y shaped branch part for both carrying path 2, 4, and a spring 16 to operate reverse sensor 18 is provided by interveneing its V shaped edge 16a in the branch path through a hole 1a formed in the branch part.
