Picture scanning recording method

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To record a copy of an already laid-out original picture, where character areas and pattern areas mix, easily, accurately, and quickly by selecting plural kinds of light detection signal on a basis of a scanning position signal and a set position signal. CONSTITUTION:The already laid-out original picture, where character areas and pattern areas mix, on an original picture drum 20 turned synchronously with a recording drum 22 as one body is scanned by a pickup 4 which is moved in the direction of scanning line and incorporates photodetectors for character and pattern, and character and pattern information are written in memories 35 and 38 respectively. Information which is read out from the memory 38 and passes a dot generator 40 and information read out from the memory 35 are selected by a switching circuit 41 controlled by a comparing circuit 48, which compares scanning point coordinate information passing rotary encoders 28 and 25 with coordinate information preset to a coordinate memory 47 by a preset part 46, and are applied to a recording head 29. Thus, a copy picture is recorded accurately and quickly in one scanning process with a simple constitution by photodetectors corresponding to area classifications.
