Idling speed control device for engine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of hunting in an engine speed and a stall, by controlling a veriation in suction air quantity with an idle control valve when load is changed from low to high and vice versa in time of idling. CONSTITUTION:In time of engine idling, if an air conditioner or the like is operated, load grows large, causing an engine speed to be dropped to some extent. A bypass passage 12 of a suction pipe's throttle valve 10 is provided with an idling speed control valve 13 controlling its opening area, which is driven by a step motor, etc. Having detected an on-off state in an air conditioner 23, the signal is inputted into an electronic control circuit 20, and the step motor is controlled for its increment commensurate to the on-off operation of the air conditioner 23 whereby the engine speed also goes up from the desired engine speed in time of off operation in the air conditioner 23, and feedback control is applied so that step number of the step motor is reduced in response to the required air quantity, thus engine is operated at the desired speed in time of on operation in the air conditioner 23.
