Ink jet recorder
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an ink jet recorder stable in recording characteristic and provided with an ink-ejecting port which is simple in construction, easy to manufacture and high in accuracy, by a method wherein at least one layer of a nozzle member having a multilayer construction is left as it is, and the other layers are partically removed to provide ink-ejecting ports. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle plate consists of a base 13 and a thin layer member 14 different from the base 1 in at least one of physical, chemical and mechanical properties, and the thin layer member 14 is removed while leaving the parts at which the ink-ejecting ports 15 are provided. The base 13 is preferably made of a material having high mechanical strength, while the thin layer member 14 is preferably made of a material which can be easily removed. The shape of the left parts of the member 14 is not specified, provided that the part around each of the ink-ejecting port 15 is projected to the outlet side of the port 15 as an ink nozzle. For example, when a flexible printed substrate which is an insulated substrate is used as the base 13 and a copper foil printed on the base 13 is used as the thin layer member 14, ink-ejecting ports extremely high in machining accuracy can be obtained.
