Method for forming formed container of synthetic resin sheet

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a formed container with an outer periphery sharp, by constituting a female mold in such a way that part of the female mold where a prescribed outer periphery of a container is formed is separated as a movable mold, pressing a heated and softened resin sheet by a male mold, and forcing the movable mold so that the softened resin sheet may be squeezed into a peripheral corner of the female mold. CONSTITUTION:A resin sheet (n) is clamped on the female mold 1, is heated at a prescribed temperature to be softened, and is pressed and formed by forcing the male mold 2 into the female mold 1. Then the movable mold 12 of the female mold 1 is lifted a little toward the male mold. The thick bottom wall section of the softened resin would be pressed and is squeezed into the peripheral corner 1a so that the ringlike peripheral corner section is completely filled with the softened resin, the roundness of the bottom outer periphery 5 may disappear and the bottom outer periphery 5 may be sharpened by the bottom wall molding surface 3a and the side wall molding surface 4a. Thus the outer periphery of the container can be made sharp.
