Head loading device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the cost and improve the stability of operation by shaking a link, whose one end is a fulcrum, with a pair of links which are bent with a solenoid and guiding a head with the other end of this link to load the head. CONSTITUTION:When a head loading current (i) is supplied to a solenoid 6, a plunger 7 is attacted into the solenoid 6, and simultaneously, a node Q is attracted to the side of the solenoid 6 through a link 5, and links 1 and 2 are expanded while approximating to a line. Consequently, a link 4 connected to the link 2 is shaked downward with a node S as a fulcrum. Therefore, a pickup 11 falls simultaneously with fall of the link 4, and the pickup 11 and a supporting member 9 are separated from each other just before nodes P, Q, and R are arranged on one line, and a side head 10 lands on a floppy disc. That is, the fall speed of the supporting member 9 becomes zero just before head loading, and the head 10 lands softly. Thus, the device is made inexpensive, and the stability is improved.
