Silver halide photosensitive material

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material improved in humidity resistance in long period storage by forming a silver halide emulsion layer prepared by dispersing a magenta coupler with an unsatd. hydrocarbon high-boiling org. solvent. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material is prepared by coating on a support with a dispersion obtained by dispersing into a silver halide emulsion a solution of an unsatd. hydrocarbon high-boiling solvent having >=150 deg.C b.p. and 0.1wt% solubility in 25 deg.C water and dissolving a magenta coupler having formulae I - IIIin which X is halogen; Y is H or halogen or alkoxy; A is -NH-, -NHCO-, or -NHCONH-, and N links with C of a pyrazolone ring; B1, B2 are each a balasting group; Z1, Z2 are each H or a split-off group to be released when the coupler reacts with the oxidized product of a developing agent; R1 is H or an aromatic ring; R2 is H or alkyl; (m) is 1 or 2; and (n) is 2, 3, or 4.
