Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent toner from scattering and to perform moisture-proofing, by dividing the inside of a developing device and sealing toner in a seal material airtight space, and removing the seal externally after setting a kit such as the developing device. CONSTITUTION:The developing device consists of a sleeve 23, bearing 24, butt roll 25 for securing the gap between the sleeve 23 and a photosensitive drum 2, sleeve driving gear 26, toner leakage preventing felt member 27, main body 28, toner storage container 29, etc. The opening part of the container 29 is sealed with a seal member 30. A molt plane 31 seals a main body notch part 28a. The end part 30c of the seal material 30 is drawn after the developing device is set to the copying machine body to open a narrow part lengthwise, supplying toner 32. The seal material 30 is drawn out of the notch 28a, but a packing 31 prevents the toner from scattering during and after the drawing-out operation.
