Catalytic component for polymerizing olefin
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:The titled highly active catalyst, consisting of a contact reaction product of a magnesium dihalide, a titanium tetraalkoxide, etc. and a polymeric silicon compound with an aluminum halide, and capable of producing polymers having good properties with a high productivity. CONSTITUTION:An olefin is polymerized in the presence of a contact reaction product of (A) (i) a magnesium dihalide, (ii) a titanium tetraalkoxide and (or) a polytitanic acid ester expressed by formula I (R<1>-R<4> are hydrocarbon residue; n is a number >=2), e.g. tetra-n-butyl polytitanate, and (iii) a polymeric silicon compound having a structure expressed by formula II (R<5> is hydrocarbon residue), e.g. methylhydropolysiloxane, into contact with (B) an aluminum halide or a product obtained by bringing (C) a liquid titanium compound and (or) a halogen compound of silicon into contact with the components (A) and (B) as a catalyst.
