Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head of simple constitution by arranging plural head elements of simple constitution in the longitudinal direction of recording track on a magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A main magnetic pole 41 made of a magnetic thin film having high magnetic permeability is provided at a specific position on one flank 40a of an auxiliary magnetic core 40 while projecting from an end surface 40 of the auxiliary magnetic core 40. Further, main magnetic poles 42 and 43 made of magnetic thin films with high magnetic permeability are also provided on the other flank 40b facing the flank 40a while projecting from the end surface 40c of the core 40. Further, the main magnetic poles 41, and 42 and 43 are joined to both sides of a cut part 40d and auxiliary magnetic pole parts 40e and 40f are formed. Then, magnetic material parts 26' are mounted to both sides of the auxiliary magnetic cores 40. Thus, main-magnetic pole exciting type single magnetic head of simple constitution is arranged in the longitudinal direction of recording track to obtain the magnetic head of simple constitution.
