Servocontrol circuit of magnetic disk device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To position a head at a target track address with a short loss time even when a medium has a defect, dust, noise, etc., by using an expected track address and controlling a voice coil motor when a detected track address is different greatly from the expected track address. CONSTITUTION:When the detected track address obtained by a track address code converting circuit 9 from the head 1 through a read amplifier 7 is different greatly from the expected track address obtained by a VCM control circuit 10 at the timing control by a timing control circuit 8, a multiplexer 14 supplies the expected track address to the VCM control circuit 10. When the difference is within a specific value 12, the detected track address is supplied. The VCM control circuit 10 sends a driving signal to a VCM power amplifier 6 on the basis of the track address supplied from this multiplexer 14 and the output of an acceleration detector 5 to control the voice coil motor 4.
