Numerical value display type measuring tape

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To read the measured numerical value automatically, by irradiating a small light beam on a scale surface of the measuring tape, transducing the reflected light to an electric signal by a photoelectric transducer, judging and processing the number of the detected scales and the moving direction of the measured tape, and displaying the result by the numerical value. CONSTITUTION:A numerical value display part 5, a numerical value erasing button 6, and a power source switch 18 are provided in an enclosing case 4. A measuring point 8 is provided at the end surface of a tape output and input part 7. A winding part 9, a scale detecting part 10, a computing part 11, and a power source 17 are enclosed in the case 4. In the detecting part 10, detectors A and B are arranged at the position where a short scale 12 can be detected, a detector C is arranged at the position where an intermediate scale can be detected, and a detector D is arranged where a long scale can be detected. Thus the detecting part 10 is provided. The output of the said detecting part 10 is computed and processed by a computing part 11 comprising a detecting signal forming circuit and a computing circuit, and the result is displayed by the display part 5.
