Polarizing plate

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a polarizing film having excellent heat resistance, moisture resistance and dimensional stability by using a unidirectionally stretched polyester film as a protective film via an adhesive on one side of a polarizing film and specifying the phase difference value of the protective film. CONSTITUTION:A polyester film is stretched only in one direction to form a protective film first. A polarizing film is adhered by using an adhesive consisting of a polyester adhesive or the like on one side of such stretched film, whereby a polarizing film is formed. Here, the stretched polyester film having 0.5-200mum phase difference value delta shown in the equation is used as a protective film for the polarizing film. The stable polarizing plate which has good heat resistance, moisture resistance and dimensional stability and is used for instruments, etc. of automobiles, etc. is obtained by the use of such protective film.
