Detachable device for car coupler

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make a control unit operatable in a cab as well as to obviate wrong operation, by installing the control unit for the plunger lock of a coupler and its lock piece inside the cab. CONSTITUTION:A jaw 3 of a coupler 1 is pivotally supported by shafting and a plunger lock 5 checks its rotation. The plunger lock 5 is drawn by a cam plate 7 which is set in operation by means of an air cylinder 11. A pushbutton switch 31 operates the air cylinder through a solenoid valve 28 and is installed inside a cab A. Inside the cab A, a knob 24 is also installed, which operates a lock piece 17 via a wire 23. With the following work steps that the lock piece 17 is moved and the plunger lock 5 is pulled, the coupler can be released. since the knob 24 and the pushbutton switch 31 operating these members are installed inside the cab, operation is easy and wrong operation does not happen any longer.
