1-aminocarbonylethyl-substituted piperazine and homopiperazine derivative

Abstract

Abstract NEW MATERIAL:The 1-aminocarbonylethyl-substituted piperazine and homopiperazine derivative of formulaI(R1 is H and R2 is 1-6C alkyl or 5-7C cycloalkyl, or R1 and R2 are 1-6C alkyl or 5-7C cycloalkyl, or R1 and R2 together form a ring; n is 2 or 3) and its acid addition salt. EXAMPLE:1-[1-(Ethylaminocarbonylethyl]piperazine. USE:An intermediate of the novel 1-(3,4,5-trimethoxycinnamoyl)-4-aminocarbonylethyl-substituted piperazine and homopiperazine of formula II and its pharmacologically permissible acid addition salt (a vasodilator). PROCESS:The compound of formulaIcan be prepared by reacting the aminocarbonylethyl halide of formula III (X is halogen) with piperazine or homopiperazine of formula IV in the presence of a base as an acid acceptor.
