Car speed controller

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To avoid an undesired automatic driving process, by starting a setting process when a prescribed period elapsed from the starting time point of setting operation and producing the corresponding signal in a voice. CONSTITUTION:For a car speed control system which performs an automatic driving control, the operation signals supplied from a set/cost switch SW2, a resume/accelerator switch SW3, a cancel switch SW4, etc. are fed to a microcomputer 1 to receive an arithmetic process. Then an alarm indication signal corresponding to the operation, e.g., the deceleration set of ''xxkm/h'' is produced in voices from a voice generating means 24. If a setting operation is carried out yet or again at a time point when a prescribed period elapsed from an operating time point, the ON signal of a release valve 9 is delivered. At the same time, an aural message for setting is delivered through a speaker 15. If no setting operation is carried out at a time point when a prescribed period elapsed, the setting operation is decided as an error. Thus the setting process is inhibited.
