Measuring method for anisotropic magnetic field

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable the reduction of a time required for measurement and to enable the measurement even when the diameter of a bubble is not more than 1mum, by conducting the impression of a DC magnetic field only in one direction when the anisotropic magnetic field of a material having uniaxial anisotropy is measured by utilizing ferromagnetic resonance. CONSTITUTION:A microwave 5 of a prescribed frequency is applied vertically to the film surface of a sample 4, while a DC magnetic field HDC is impressed in parallel to the film surface of the sample 4. Then, while the magnetic field HDC is increased gradually, the absorption of the microwave by the ferromagnetic resonance of the sample 4 is observed by a microwave transmitter-receiver 1. An anisotropic magnetic field at a point (a) of a differential curve A obtained from the observation turns to be HK.
