Adhesive composition
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:The titled composition, prepared by dissolving and incorporating specific amounts of an acrylic urethane obtained by reacting an acrylic monomer with a specific urethane polymer and a chlorinated rubber in an organic solvent, capable of bonding polyvinyl chloride (PVC) moldings firmly to double- side adhesive tapes, and having improved impact resistance. CONSTITUTION:A composition prepared by dissolving and incorporating (A) 100pts. urethane obtained by reacting (ii) 1-100pts.wt. acrylic monomer with (i) 100pts.wt. urethane polymer prepared by reating a polyester diol having OH groups at both ends with a diisocyanate at 1:(0.65-1) molar ratio between the NCO and OH groups, and hving NCO groups at both ends, (B) 50pts.wt. or less chlorinated rubber, and if necessary (C) 30pts.wt. or less epoxy resin, (D) 20pts.wt. or less resinous mateial, (E) 5-300pts.wt. vulcanizing agent for the rubber and (F) 5-300pts.wt. vulcanization accelerator for the rubber in an organic solvent. EFFECT:Inserts will not peel from PVC even when used in a side molding of automobiles with the change of the outside air temperature, and the molding will not curve.
