Focus adjusting mechanism of endoscope
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To perform accurate automatic focus adjustment by providing a lens frame which moves axially in a cylindrical room provided to the tip part of an endoscope by the pressure of pressurized air supplied into the cylindrical room, and a pressure detector which measures pressure operating on the lens frame. CONSTITUTION:Illumination light guided by a light guide 14 at the tip part of an endoscope illuminates a sample through a diffusing lens 15, and its reflected light is imaged on the incidence end surface of an image guide 13 through cover glass 3 and an objective 6. When pressurized air is fed from an operation part to the rear room 2b of a cylindrical room 2 through an air feeding and discharging pipe 7, the objective 6 and lens frame move forth against a coil spring 12 until elastic force of the coil spring is balanced. The pressure at this time is detected by a pressure sensor 9 through a spring seat 11 to detect the lens position accurately. The position of the sample at this time is detected through an ultrasonic transducer and the pressure of the pressurized air is adjusted according to the detected position to perform accurate automatic focus adjustment.
