Painting and drying method and apparatus

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make it possible to effectively attain good painting and drying free from deffective parts, by a method wherein the outer peripheral surface of an object to be painted is divided into plural treating regions and, after the first treating region is painted and dried, the region other than the aforesaid region is painted and dried. CONSTITUTION:The outer peripheral surface of a long object 1 to be painted having a circular cross area is divided into a first and a second treating regions H1, H2 and the object 1 to be painted is turned and transferred while supported in the region H2 by a rail 6 as well as the region H1 of the outer peripheral part of the object 1 to be painted trandferred by the rail 6 is painted and dried by a painting and drying mechanism 7. In the next stage, the object 1 to be painted is turned and transferred while supported in the region H1 of the outer peripheral surface therof by a rail as well as the region H2 of the outer peripheral surface of the object 1 to be painted transferred by the rail 8 is painted and dried by a painting and drying mechanism 9. In addition, the mechanisms 7,9 are succeedingly arranged in the transfer direction of the object 1 to be painted and constituted from painting mechanisms 10, 13 and light irradiating mechanisms 12, 14.
