Numerical controlling with position display function
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To allow an operator to observe the current position and work locus of a machine easily, by providing a graphic display device which displays the movement locus of the machine graphically from a control signal. CONSTITUTION:A control part 2 decodes command data read out of a paper tape 1 to output a command speed FC and common movement extents XC and YC in case of a movement command, and a pulse interpolator 3 sends interpolated pulses XP and YP of the X and Y axes to a machine 4. According to the pulses XP and YP, the machine 4 moves in two dimensions to perform discharge work. A display control part 6, on the other hand, generates two-dimensional coordinates from the pulses XP and YP, and pulses are counted to generate a memory address corresponding to counted values every time when reception is performed. Consequently, 1 is written in a corresponding address of a screen memory 7, which is stored with the locus of movement of the machine 4. Then, the memory 7 is read by a successive raster scan to sent its contents to a display part 8, thereby displaying the locus of movement of the machine 4.
