Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To control air-fuel ratio to around a lean limit value, by detecting a change of a load through a pressure detecting element, arranging the pressure detecting element in an engine mount of elastic material and detecting an irregular combustion condition. CONSTITUTION:Rubber mounts 3A, 3B, consisting of elastic material, are set between an engine main unit 1 and supporting mounts 2. A pressure detecting element 4 is provided in the mounts 3A, 3B, to detect a change of a load and detect an irregular combustion condition. When an output value of the element 4 reaches a prescribed value, its result is fed back to an intake system to control air-fuel ratio to a rich side. In this way, irregular combustion of an internal combustion engine can be prevented.
