Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To offset an error of expansion and contraction due to the temperature of a disk, by fixing an end of a supporter for carriage driving motor to a substrate and holding the other end of the supporter in the direction parallel to the carriage shifting direction in such way that the expansion and contraction is possible by the temperature. CONSTITUTION:A carriage 31 containing a head 29 is driven toward the X axis of a disk 20, and the recording/reproduction is carried out to the disk 20. A motor 35 shifts the carriage 31 via a gear, and an end 48 of a supporter 47 of the motor 35 is fixed to a substrate 11. The other end of the supporter 47 is held so that a pin 58 is put into a slit 57 having a longer side at a folded part 55 and in the direction of X axis and that the motor 35 can be shifted toward the X axis by the temperature change of a member. Thus the carriage 31 also has a shift toward the X axis with the expansion/contraction due to the temperature change along with the expansion/contraction of the disk 20 due to the temperature change. This can prevent an error due to a temperature change.
