Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To uniform the rigidity of a tire by restraining a dimensional stability index of a polyester code of a carcass within the range of a fixed value and adding a specific amount of vulcanization accelerator to the burried rubber of this code. CONSTITUTION:A polyester code constructing a carcass is formed by twisting a number of polyester filaments of 5-20 equivalent/10<6>g in carboxyl terminal group content and (160-190)X10<-3> in average birefringence. The dimensional stability index of this polyester code given by the sum of its constant-load extensibility and thermal contractibility is under 8.5%, and a topping rubber composition for rubberizing the polyester code contains 0.5-3pts.wt. vulcanization acceelrator of 300-500mol.wt. against 100pts.wt. rubber.
