Encoding method for binary data
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To perform recording at a source bit rate as it is without any increase in recording bit rate, by replacing a replacing data word based upon the value of DSV by a word complementary to said data word. CONSTITUTION:Respective one-word, (n)-bit data which are correlative with one another are rearranged corresponding one to one to one-word, (n)-bit data rearranged on the basis of a value (DSV) obtained by integrating binary levels 1 and 0 corresponding to +1 and -1 respectively. Further, said rearranged words are replaced by words complementary to the respective words with regard to every (m) correlative words (m=1, 2,...), and the resulting data are transmitted. For example, a color video signal is digitized by an A/D converter 2 and then recorded on VTR6 through DSV control encoding 3, inversion processing 4, and parallel-series conversion 5, and the data are reproduced through reverse operation.
