Glass with low melt sticking property for ferrite
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To provide the titled glass which consists of specified percentages of B2O3, ZnO, V2O5, Bi2O3 and Tl2O and does not make ferrite nonmagnetic. CONSTITUTION:The titled glass consists of, by weight, 15-35% B2O3 7-22% ZnO, 0-5% V2O5, 19-39% Bi2O3 and 19-39% Tl2O. In case of less then the lower limit of B2O3, the glass is liable to be devitrified during reheating, and more than the upper limit of B2O3 increases excessively the yield point of the glass. In case of less than the lower limit and more than the upper limit of ZnO, the glass is liable to be devitrified during reheating. V2O5 is independent of the low yield point, and in case of more than the upper limit of V2O5, crystals are deposited in a melt during discharge from a crucible to make vitrification difficult in the manufacture of the glass. In case of less than the lower limit of Bi2O3, the coefft. of thermal expansion becomes larger than that of ferrite, and more than the upper limit of Bi2O3 increases the yield point of the glass. Less than the lower limit of Tl2O3 deteriorates the fluidity of the glass after softening and the penetration of the glass into narrow magnetic voids becomes difficult. More than the upper limit of Tl2O increases the coefft. of thermal expansion.
