Compound engine mount
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To equalize the upward and downward reaction forces of a mount by forming an orifice increasing in diameter along the upward direction of a car on a partition wall in a fluid filling chamber so as to lessen damping force on compression side and increase damping force on expansion side. CONSTITUTION:A filling chamber 2 is partitioned into the upper chamber 2H and the lower chamber 2L by an orifice plate 10. An orifice 10a is expanded in such a manner as to be tapered toward the upper portion of a mount body 1 so that when a working fluid flows from the upper chamber 2H to the lower chamber 2L, the fluid becomes laminar flow to produce small passage resistance, and when the working fluid flows from the lower chamber 2L to the upper chamber 2H, the working fluid becomes a turbulent flow to produce large passage resistance, whereby the upward and downward reaction forces are equalized.
