Toner for electrostatic charged image development and its resin
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a good toner without generating any offset phenomenon on a fixing roller, by consisting essentially of a resin which is polymerized in succession after a chain transfer agent is removed in a stage of polymerizing vinyl monomer in the presence of the chain transfer agent having a boiling point below a specific value. CONSTITUTION:Vinyl monomer such as styrene and butyl acrylate is (co) polymerized in the presence of a chain transfer agent having <=100 deg.C boiling point such as CCl4 and CHCl3, and the chain transfer agent is removed at the proper time in the polymerization stage, and afterward a further polymerization is promoted to obtain a (co)polymer. Necessary additives such as a charge controlling agent and offset inhibitor and pigments such as carbon black are added to this polymer and mixed, and afterward this is melted, kneaded, pulverized and classified to obtain a toner. By such a way, the toner for which it is not necessary to supply an offset preventing liquid on a fixing roller and having the effect preventing offset, is obtained.
