Temperature compensator of plastic lens for video camera

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To correct the defect of plastic lenses causing the movement of an image surface due to a temp. change by attaching a pickup device to lenses through a material having an expansion coefft. corresponding to the extent of the moved image surface. CONSTITUTION:A pickup device 1 is attached to a lens mount 3 through a plastic material 2 having a thickness equal to the focal length of a lens system 4. In accordance with a temp. rise, the plastic material 2 expands and presses the device 1 to the lens side. As a result, the image surface moved to the lens side can be chased, and the movement of the image surface can be corrected.
