Purification of water utilizing aquatic plant
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To remove the pollution of water in a pond and to purify the water, by forming a gently-inclined surface to the depth of water where aquatic plants can be grown, caking bottom sludge at the gently-inclined surface, and forming a sand layer thereon where the aquatic plants are grown. CONSTITUTION:A part from the side 1A of a pond to the depth of water where aquatic plants 4 can be grown is formed into a gently-inclined surface 6, and submerged banks 7 are provided by concrete at the side 1A of the pond and in the pond 1 at the opposite side part 1B. Bottom sludge 2A and other bottom sludge 2B at a bottom part deeper than the subsmerged banks 7 in the pond are caked by a means such as further mixing concrete in them. The layer of sand 3 having thickness of 30-100cm is formed on the caked bottom sludge 2A, and aquatic plants 4 are grown in the pond 1 with the distance of 15-30cm between their adjacent roots. In addition, aeration piping 10 leading to an air pipe 9 on the land is provided on the layer of sand 3 and the bottom sludge 2B at the bottom part, to perform aeration through its nozzle 8.
