Photographic silver halide emulsion
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an internal latent image type photographic silver halide emulsion having high sensitivity and superior developability and undergoing no change in the photographic performance during set preservation or slow coating by adding a specified percentage or more of oxidized gelatin to hydrophilic colloid. CONSTITUTION:A gelatin soln. is oxidized with H2O2 or O3, passed through an ion exchange resin, concentrated and dried to obtain oxidized gelatin with very low residual H2O2 or O3 content. By adding >=15wt% of this gelatin to hydrophilic colloid, an internal latent image type silver halide emulsion is prepared, and by using the emulsion a photographic sensitive material is manufactured. The sensitive material has high sensitivity, superior minimum density Dmin and superior maximum density Dmax, and it is prevented from undergoing a change in the photographic performance during set preservation or slow coating.
