Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To transmit only prescribed smooth torque to an output shaft, by feeding an excitation current to an electromagnetic clutch and performing feedback control of th current so that the output shaft can be rotated at a lower speed than rotary speed of a crankshaft. CONSTITUTION:An absolute value 1 Ne-Nt of difference between speed Ne of a crankshaft 4 and speed Nt of an output shaft 16 is smoothed to detect a smoothed value No. Then a current, fed to a clutch coil 14 in an electromagnetic clutch 8, is feedback controlled by an electronic controller so that the smoothed value No may be aligned to a preset slip speed Ns. And the electromagnetic clutch 8 rotates the output shaft 16 at the speed Nt, lower by the preset slip speed Ns larger than a variable speed + or -DELTANe from change of torque, for the speed Ne of the crankshaft 4, having the torque change.
