Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To form a steering wheel fully endurable against high dissolving temperature of a die cast alloy and prevent its thermal deterioration, by coating a reinforcing material with a heat resistant material and forming junction parts from a synthetic resin material contained with the reinforcing material. CONSTITUTION:A hub core 1 comprises a boss part in the center, and is formed as an integral unit by an aluminum die cast alloy. A pair of spoke core materials 3 are made of plastic deforming metal and their internal end is integrally cast to the hub core 1. A rim core material 4 is integrally formed by unsaturated polyester resin or epoxy resin contained with glass robing fiber or carbon robing fiber as a reinforcing material. The rim core material 4, at least its part in the vicinity of junction to the spoke core materials 3, is coated by a heat resistant material 5. An external film layer 7, consisting of polyurethane foaming synthetic resin, is formed to the external surface of the rim core material 4 containing a junction unit 6.
