Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To give plural riders the feeling of satisfaction with air conditioning by performing temperature adjustment in each of the plural number of divided air conditioning zones in a car through utilization of an air conditioning unit of simple structure and combination of a blow off temperature adjustment zone and a blow off ventilation volume adjustment zone. CONSTITUTION:A temperature adjustment system is divided into two parts by means of a partition board 16, then the first and the second temperature adjustment systems 17a, 17b independently adjust the temperature of air in air mix chambers 18, 19. For defrosting, dampers 40, 41, 44, 45 are moved to positions shown by solid lines and dampers 42, 46 are moved to the positions shown by dashed lines through manual operation of an operational lever. The blow off temperatuer for air conditioning zones Z1 and Z2 may be selected by means of a temperature adjustment system 17a, while the same for air conditioning zones Z2 and Z4 may be selected by means of a similar system 17b. Between the zone Z1 and the zone Z2, air conditioning of each zone is possible calorically through changing quantity of ventilated blow off air by means of dampers 40, 41, 43, while between the zone Z2 and the zone Z4, the same thing may be performed through operation of dampers 44, 45, 47.
