Dried immobilized enzyme and its preparation
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a dried immobilized enzyme, storable in a dried state, and reconstitutive without deteriorating the performance, by preparing a carrier of a vinyl chloride resin by a specific method, bringing a solution containing an enzyme into contact with the carrier, and drying the resultant carrier. CONSTITUTION:A vinyl chloride resin is dissolved in (A) a solvent, e.g. dimethylformamide, and formed into a desired shape of a carrier. The resultant carrier is then brought into contact with (B) a solvent which is a poor solvent for the vinyl chloride resin and a good solvent for the solvent (A) to form a carrier layer. Water, methyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, etc. may be used as the solvent (B). The resultant carrier is then brought into contact with a solution containing an oxidation-reduction enzyme, hydrolase, isomerase, etc. to prepare an immobilized enzyme, which is then dried by a method, e.g. air-drying, drying under heating or freeze-drying, to give the aimed dried immobilized enzyme.
