Disc brake
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce the sliding resistance of a floating caliper and a torque member and to allow to lower the accuracy of work by disposing a means for adjusting the relative positions of both said members at a pair of mounting parts which support the floating caliper in the slidable relation with the torque member. CONSTITUTION:An arm 2a of a floating caliper is slidably engaged on a collar 13 which is disposed around the periphery of a fitting pin 8 screwed into a torque member 7. The collar 13 is prepared such that its periphery is eccentric with respect to that of the fitting pin 8, thereby making the eccentric periphery of said collor to define an eccentric means 14. By turning and adjusting the collar 13, the floating caliper and the torque member 7 may have the comfortable sliding relation and the mounting holes 10 and 12 are allowed to have some error in the positions and dimensions, thereby allowing to lower the accuracy of work.
