Power supplying system for bypassing optical signal
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To economically constitutes the whole optical loop system, by installing a no- break type power supply for bypassing optical signal to the central station only and supplying the power of the said power supply to each terminal station. CONSTITUTION:A terminal station device shown in the figure is connected in a loop with plural terminal station devices having the similar constitutions and a central station device (not shown), through an optical signal path 2 and a power supply line 2' for bypassing optical signal. When a station power supply 8 is normal, a supervisory relay 30 operates and its contact 31 is at the position shown by the solid line. Therefore, a light electricity converter 4 and an electricity light converter 5 are operated by the station power supply 8, and signals from the optical signal path at the input side are inputted into a loop controlling section 6. The controlling section 6 takes in signals addressed to its own terminal station and controls the delivery of signals to be transmitted to other terminal stations. When the station power supply 8 is faulty, the relay contact 31 changes its position to the position shown by the dotted line, and only the converter 4 and 5 are operated by the power supply from the supply line 2' and only the repeating operation is executed. The supply line 2' gets its power supply from a no- break type power supply installed in the central station.
