Immunity measuring element and measuring method employing said element
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To perform a rapid and high-sensitive measurement of immunity under a uniform condition by use of a small amount of a sample, by a method wherein an element, in which a component, having a singular coupling nature, is fixed to a component to be measured, is employed to a surface of an inserting body which has a constant space between a reaction and the body and is formed in the shape of a cannonball or the like. CONSTITUTION:An element body 2, which is molded with a high-molecular material, such as nylon, into the shape of a cannonball or the like, is formed such that it has a constant narrow gap between the body 2 and an inner surface of a reaction tube 4. A projection part 5 is formed on the forward end of the body 2, so that the body is not firmly adhered to the tube 4. For example, a square-shaped notch recess 8 is provided in an upper surface part 2a of the body 2 so that is open to the periphery of the body 2. A component, i.e., an antibody against an antigen, having an singular combining nature with a component to be measured, i.e., an antigen, is fixed to the body 2, and a labelled component is combined with the component. This permits the high-sensitive measurement of an immunity by use of a minute amount of sample liquid and without the need for agitation and shaking.
