Multiplexing and transmitting system of sound signal
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To suppress the deterioration of the reproduced sound waveform which is due to a step-out of a video frame, by counting the number of samples of sound signals contained in a video signal frame and then changing the number of bits allotted to a sample in accordance with the number of samples of the sound signal. CONSTITUTION:An input sound signal is converted into a digital signal of 12 bits of a sample through an A/D converter 23 with sample number fS and supplied to a multiplexer 241. A sample number counter 243 counts the number of samples in a video frame. An address is designated with the output given from the counter 243 to select the audio data which is given from the converter 23. This address is supplied to a storage part 242. The part 242 stores the audio information given from the multiplexer 241 for each sample and at the same time supplies the upper ones of 12 bits of each sample to a frame circuit 22 in the number equal to the selected bits and based on a command given from a bit number selecting circuit 244.
