Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the variation of rated power consumption and the deterioration in electrical characteristics due to the trimming of a resistor by a method wherein an additive trimming is performed on a resistor, and a flame spray coating technigue is used as an additional technique. CONSTITUTION:A main resistance film 13 is formed by performing a flame spray coating in between conductors 12a and 12b in such a manner that both end parts of the film 13 are overlapped with the conducotrs 12a and 12b. At this point, the resistance value (resistance value between conductors 12a and 12b) is formed in such a manner that it will be larger than the target resistance value. On the upper surface of the main resistance film 13, an auxiliary resistance film 14 is selectively formed by performing flame spray coating. The quantity of flame spray coating and the area of flame spray coating are controlled in proportion to the difference between the actual resistance value and the target resistance value of the main resistance film 13, and this enables the resistance value between the conductors 12a and 12b, including the auxiliary resistance film 14, to be formed almost coinciding with the target resistance value.
