Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To store pattern data for a plurality of screen's share with less capacity, by using a data compression and reproducing circuit. CONSTITUTION:A video signal from an input terminal 11 is inputted to a buffer memory 15 via a video detection circuit 12, a wave shape circuit 13, and a sampling circuit 14. Character, symbol and graphic data are stored in a pattern memory 33 based on the data introduced from the buffer memory 15. The data stored in the pattern memory 33 is stored in a plurality of screen memories 57 via a data compression and reproducing circuit 58, and at reproduction, the compressed data stored in the memories 57 are converted into the original pattern data at the data compression and reproducing circuit 58.
