Horizontal deflecting device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent breakdown of a horizontal output transistor, by using only a DC voltage obtained at the S-shaped compensating condenser connected in series with a horizontal deflecting coil as a supply voltage of a horizontal oscillating circuit. CONSTITUTION:A voltage obtained at an S-shaped compensating condenser 10 is applied to a horizontal oscillating circuit 2 through a resistance 11 as the supply voltage. When a power source switch is turned on, an electric current flows into the S-shaped compensating condenser 10 through a fly-back transformer 4, a horizontal deflecting coil 8, and a linearity coil 9, and the voltage in the condenser 10 is raised to +B supply voltage. Since the voltage in the S-shaped compensating condenser 10 disappears when the route of the horigonal deflecting coil 8 is cut off, the oscillation of the horizontal oscillating circuit 2 is stopped. Therefore, a horizontal output transistor 5 remains in the off state and no pulse is delivered from the fly-back trasformer 4, and thus, no high voltage is applied to a cathode ray tube.
