Neutralizing material for condensed water

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve a long-term shelf life and to neutralize acidic condensed water good efficiency by preparing a neutralizing agent for condensed water by using soda lime glass consisting essentially of sodium, lime and silica. CONSTITUTION:A neutralizing agent for condensed water consisting of soda lime glass consisting essentially of Na2O, CaO and SiO2 is prepared, and according to applications, this is used in the form of powder, granules or plates. Granular soda lime glass 2 is packed in a cylindrical device body 1 made of PVC, and absorbent cotton 3 to prevent the dislodging of glass particles is provided. If this device is installed below a dischage pipe for condensed water condensed in the fin parts of a heat exchanger, the acidic condensed water dropping into this device is neutralized while it passes through the packed layer 2 of the glass. The neutralized water is discharged through the outlet in the lower part.
