Silver halide photosensitive material

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material adapted to forming a thin film, and enhanced in sharpness and maximum density, by adding a polymeric coupler having 3 kinds of each specified monomer unit as constituents to constituent layers on a support. CONSTITUTION:A polymeric coupler having at least one of each kind of monomer units expressed by general formulaeI, II, III is contained in at least one constituent layer on a support. In the formulaeI, II, III, A is a vinyl monomer having a color coupler residue; (x) is 0-60wt%; B is a vinyl monomer having a color coupler residue exhibiting the same hue as said A upon color formation, substituted by at least one hydrophilic group, such as SO3M or COOM; M is H or an alkali metal; (y) is 30-99wt%; C is a vinyl monomer having a group capable of cross-linking gelatin directly or through a hardening agent; and (z) is 1-10wt%.
