Apparatus for controlling horsepower of pump

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable output torque of a prime mover to be effectively absorbed, by controlling horsepower of a pump with a capacity signal pressure generating spool, a torque signal pressure generating spool and a metering spool by the use of torque signal pressure of the pump. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a capacity signal pressure generating spool 6 for generating capacity signal pressure proportional to discharge amount of a variable capacity pump 1, a torque signal pressure generating spool 9 for generating torque signal pressure proportional to torque required for driving the variable capacity pump 1 upon receiving the capacity signal pressure and a metering spool 13 for supplying dischargeably pressurized oil to an operating cylinder for operating a discharge amount changing mechanism 2 upon receiving the torque signal pressure. Thus, horsepower of the pump is controlled by the use of the torque signal pressure of the pump obtained upon receiving the capacity signal pressure of the pump so that a zone in which the torque cannot be absorbed can be eliminated and the output torque of a prime mover can be effectively absorbed without stall of the prime mover.
