Device for recording information signal
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To use a tape recorder for both video and audio, by arranging plural rotary magnetic heads at a prescribed angular interval and forming two magnetic track sections. CONSTITUTION:Plural rotary magnetic heads 1A and 1B are rotated at a prescribed angular interval and, at the same time, signals are obliquely recorded on a magnetic tape 2 over an angle range larger than the angular interval. Moreover, a magnetic track section which is formed when only one head out of the heads scans the tape 2 is designated as the main section and the remaining section is designated as the over scan section. Then, when video signals inputted from a terminal 11 are recorded, the video signals are recorded in the main section and, at the same time, aural signals Se related to the video signals are recorded in the over scan section by time base compression. On the other hand, when only aural signals Ss are recorded, the main section is divided into plural subsections and the aural signals Ss are recorded by time base compression with the same format as that used when aural signals related to video signals are recorded.
